About Me

My photo
BC, Canada
I have been married to the same guy for a LONG time ! We have 3 grown children and the 5 loves of our lives that they have given us ... 4 girls and one boy ! I have been crafting all my life and found my true addiction when I taught myself to use Copic Markers and introduced them into my card making ! I am NOT certified in the use of Copics but that doesn't stop me from creating with them ! I always been a bit of a crafting rebel and don't follow directions well !I love crafting with my hands and seldom will you find them idle as they usually have a crochet hook , knitting needles or a book in them . Exercise is not my strong suit ! LOL ! My husband and I also love camping in our RV ( weather permitting ... as in NO snow !) so most weekends from Spring to Fall you find us camped somewhere with our 3 Yorkies .... though don't tell them they aren't BIG dogs ! Hope you enjoy my little touch of my life .... the creative and the real life !

Magnolia Tilda with ornament

Mo Manning image .... for Lisa :)

This week found me at my desk playing and using my brain to come up with some cards on my own .... sometimes the cards just fall together with no help from anybody ! My images are by Mo Manning , Penny Black , Bildmalarna and Magnolia ! It has been a great week to just play between laundry loads and housework ! Thanks to Melody for the great R.A.K. of the beautiful lace ... one which was used on my Penny Black card !

The sun is shining but there is a definite nip in the air but winter is creeping up on us as Alberta got a dump of snow this morning ! They say it is coming ths way ....... oh well , I have stamps , ink and my Copics ! I am happy !

Have a great week everybody and happy creating !

A multitude of challenges

Like the addiction of Magnolia stamps and copic markers , the challenge blogs are beginning to become a bit of an adiction too ! It is a GOOD addiction though as I am starting to build up my card stash again ! Here is a card that I have made that fit a few of those challenges ......

This Tilda is being submitted for these challenges

1.SWEET SKETCH SUNDAY #38      I used the sketch as my base

2. THE SISTERHOOD OF CRAFTERS   ... Embellish it challenge   I used 3 flowers , pin , leaves and velvet ribbon ( oops , missed the deadline on this one so no entry to the challenge but it was fun to do ! )

3.STAMPTACULAR SUNDAY CHALLENGE # 79   Layer it on   .....   5 layers or more ......

This was a FUN card to make ! Thanks for looking and happy creating ! looking forward to the next challenges !

Here is another card that could fit in the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #79 as well

Ellen Hutson's Sketch Challenge for World Cardmaking Day !

I am so excited that I finally got to sit down and make a card for Ellen Hutson's WCMD challenge on her Classroom Blog ! I chose out of the six challenges posted to do the second one which is a sketch by Julia Stainton . Check it out  here !

I did use a little creative license on my card but then I don't follow directions well to begin with ...... LOL ! As I had already won the blog candy for this challenge it was a great way to enter for the BIG blog candy ! At least I am entering one project ....

Who knows , maybe I will get something else done this evening as I have until midnight to on Wednesday to enter all 6 challenges before the challenges close !

thanks Ellen for such inspiration ( and a great store ! )

Fall is in the air

Even with the Fall migraines hitting with a vengence , I managed to finish up this card that I started yesterday ! It seems to be taking me longer to make a card lately but I am so happy with the results of this one that I am submitting for 3 Challenge blogs

Challenges galore !

Even though I stressed that I usually try to do challenge blogs one at a time , I have discovered it is really fun to combined a FEW and see what becomes of the result . By taking the sketch from here on Sketch Saturday Challenge Week 122  Blog , this challenge from Magnolia Stamp Lovers : Add a touch of lace  and combining it with the challenge from here on Totally Tilda challenge Blog ( and you know how I love Tilda ! ) which this week the challenge was Glitter and Sparkle this is the card I came up with !

I love this Magnolia Tilda image and she was so much fun to color with my Copic markers and the background was softly airbrushed . I also used my Sakura glaze pen on her shoes and my Sakura Stardust pen for the lace of her dress and the umbrella handle ...... the ribs were colored with my Sakura white gel pen  . The dress was then covered with Ice Stickles as were her socks and the top of the umbrella ( or parasol ) . The roses were also coated with glaze pen to give them a bit of depth ! Tim Holtz patterned paper and distressed Ink were used and a CTMH sentiment finished off my card .......... after punching an edge with my Martha Stewart edge punch and some airbrushed lace and flower to which some Stickles had been added . Glitter was added to the corner piece of chipboard .

Here are the Copics I used to color Tilda with

Happy creating and I hope my card brought a smile to your face ! Thanks for taking the time to look !

Sweet Sketch Wednesday # 68

Sweet Sketch Wednesday  had a wonderful sketch this week and I managed to find some time to sit and play with it ! I am really beginning to love working from a sketch for my cards as it gives me a starting point for my brain ! Thanks to all the wonderful artists that come up with them !

Here is my take on this week's sketch

I love Mo Manning images as you can tell ! They just make me smile ! That poor cat ! We have had a few that have been loved like this over the years ! LOL !

Image is colored with Copic markers and I handmade the flower out of piece of wide lace then spritzed with Tattered Angel Glimmer Mist then  edges some of the " petals " with Stickles .....

Sorry for the unclear photos today but my camera is not behaving properly !

Thanks for looking and happy creating !

I am back to my craft table !

After a fun filled , camping season it was time to winterize the RV and think about staying home ... and staying home means I actually got to sit in my crappy room and get to play ! As my oldest granddaughter turns 15 on Sunday I had to get a card made for her . I never try to combine challenges as I find it a challenge just doing a card for each site if I can but this one just happened to fit the bill for both these sites so I am entering my card on both of them !
front of card .......

inside of card ..........

Thanks to the sketch found  here on Sunday Sketch Challenge #37 I created this card . And although you can't see the pattern on this paper ( under the lace looking paper ) it has a GRID patterned and is a beautiful paper that comes from BG's ORIGINS 6"X6" paper pad ! The GRID paper fits in with THIS challenge on Spectacular Sunday Challenge # 77

So much  fun to use my Copics and my Magnolia's again and the new release of the Spellbinders Nesties just made me happy ! Unfortunately my rose ribbon doesn't show up very well in the photo and because it was a small section it really doesn't do the ribbon justice either :-(   ...................... oh well lesson learned !!! !

Hope everybody has a wonderful crafty week ! Courteney , have a wonderful 15th birthday but don't have too much fun either ! LOL ! Love you Baby Girl !

Another holiday and the end of the 2010 camping season .....

We just spent 13 days touring down to the Fraser Valley and then up through the Okanagan before heading through Salmon Am and then towards home ! The whole trip was spent dodging rain as we only had maybe 2 days where we didn't get rain ..... didn't matter WHERE we were ! LOL !

We spent two nights in Hope , BC . We have driven through this little town so many times over the years but never stopped so this was the perfect time to do it . We stayed at a campground right on river and watched the fisherman fishing salmon ...... so fun to watch and being the salmon run was a record one this year , it was worth watching and listening to the fish ! Of course , we had some sun , went for a walk and got absolutely dumped on from the sky ! Hope is right in the mountains so any cloud you see is bound to hit at some point ! Another great thing about Hope is it is famous for it's chainsaw carvings which are scattered all over the town along with totem poles . We really enjoyed visiting this small town and walking around the town was such an adventure !

After leaving Hope we headed just an hour down the freeway to visit my family and celebrate my Dad's birthday . Was so nice to see everybody and meet the newest addition to my nephew's family . My brother came and shared some wine with us in the Taj one night and even tried out the hide-a-bed which he says was very comfy ....... not that he probably really knew as it was GOOD wine ! LOL ! Keith & I also went out for a quiet lunch with my sister and her husband . So nice to spend some quiet time with them as they do so much for my parents and my sister fed 18 for supper the one night ! It was bedlum ! LOL ! I know Dad & Mom were happy to see us as it has been well over a year since I saw them .

A nice surprise while we were away as well as a " old " friend stopped by my parents .... Joani is much younger then me but I haven't seen her in 30+ years ! She was my youngest sister's very best friend in the world and suffered a great loss ( as did our family ) when my sister passed away at the age of 5 1/2 yrs in 1966 ! Seeing Joani was like reconnecting with a part that was missing in my life ! Thanks Joani for being " there " even after all these years ! And a nice turn also deserves one so Keith & I stopped in her cute little clothing store in Enderby , BC called LITTLE CITY BOUTIQUE ...... beautiful clothing from a beautiful lady ! unfortunately I don't fit any of those beautiful clothes ......... LOL !

We spent a few days in Kelowna visiting Keith's family but parked in the Taj in a RV park ..... and yes , we got rain .......... and one day of sun :-)  Keith's sister-in-law from Winnipeg came to Kelowna at the same time so we got a good visit in with her too ! Nice to have seen her as I hadn't since Gary passed away 2 years ago .

One quick stop overnight in Salmon Arm and a nice visit with Lisa and Brayden ! Always nice to see them ..... next time hopefully Wayne will be around . Sadly his Mom passsed away a week or so ago ... our deepest sympathy to the Costa family .

We had a long day ( we had been traveling 2-4 hrs a day if that so 6 hrs was a LONG day ! LOL ! ) from Salmon Arm as we headed straight up to our favorite campsite as we had bought the corn at DeMille's in Salmon Arm for a corn roast that Merv and Kim from Canyon Creek Campground hosted on Friday night . A fun time was had by all and even a few new people joined us ... a family of 8 from Switzerland that were touring the North ! The best part was the rain held off ....... but man is was cool ! 2 degrees C at 10 pm and -3 this morning !!! Fall is definitely here !

This morning we packed up the Taj and made the long trek home .... 45 minutes , 3 construction zones , some rough road and no Tim Horton's coffee to be found anywhere ! LOL ! Soooooooooooo nice to be home and then the reality of  unloading a summer worth of packratting became reality as Keith decided that Taj would be unloaded for the winter ................. No , he does NOT sit still for anything ! 6 hours later Taj is pretty well empty and waiting for a couple drinks of antifreeze to keep him warm ! ..........

........and the camping season of 2010 is over for us ! We have had a wonderful season through hot weather , forest fire smoke and turned over 10,000 miles on Taj ! Saw some amazing country .... all in our beautiful province of British Columbia ...... and visiting family and friends !!!  Thanks to everybody that fed us or entertained us with their stories .................... thanks Christina for being a great housesitter / dog sitter so we could get away without the furbabies and not feel guilty bout leaving them ..... they were well spoiled !!!

Time to kick back with some cozy clothes , dogs at my feet and do some creating in my room !!! Definitely so ready to just hide out in my room and play !!! LOL !

The view from the Taj this morning through a steamy window !

Have a great week and stay warm !

Sweet Sketch Wednesday # 65 and a HUGE Happy Anniversary !

I am late getting this card done ( due to more holidays :-)   so I chose the awesome sketch over on Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge #65 to make it as it worked just fantastic for what I wanted to do ! Here is my card that I made ... with a whole lot of love inside and I will hand deliver it next week to my parents as they celebrated their 59th Wedding Anniversary on August 31st ! I told you it would be late ! LOL !

This Mo Manning image called " Young Love "  was exactly what I was looking for ! It is so hard to find a sweet , elderly couple image . Ma is a little sassy with her bright pink slip hanging out of her skirt .... you are never too old for sassy ! LOL !

I used a whole handful of Copic markers to color the image . Used some BG patterned paper , Prima flower and some great ribbon from a Savvy N' Sassy ribbon kit !

Happy Anniversary Dad & Mom and will see you both soon !

Camping in the rain .... and what showed up !

My last post was about camping in the rain of the week but I did manage to get out and snap a few photos .We love this spot at Canyon Creek Campground as it is the biggest spot .... and has it's own flowerbed that actually had flowers in it this year ( thanks Kim ! ) . Our spot is also a little quieter as we are tucked into a corner ...........  just so RELAXING even in the rain ! Usually I have my flowerbaskets out too but they had already gone back home when we took the RV home the last time ! This week we spent a lot of time watching the squirrels drop cones out of the trees ( and occasionally dropping them on somebody's vehicle like little bombs ! ) . They were sure busy being hoarders :-)

Well DH went into town a couple days and this is what he came back with one day ............ we traded up from the Toyota Tacoma to this

A 2010 Nissan Titan ( a full size truck ) ...... As much as we loved the economy of the Toyota Tacoma it was just too small for comfort as both DH & I always came out of it feeling like hurtin' pretzels ! The Nissan Titan is soooooooooo comfortable to ride in ( so we found out when we went for quick ride to DD's one night ! LOL ) . And the color ................... so pretty !!!! Turns out a good salesman ( namely our youngest son ) told us that it possibly is only one of three in Canada in this color ! It is called OCEAN ( almost a blue / gray depending on the light ) . Our son also had to really " sell " the Nissan truck to the " hardnose salesman #1 " ( namely his Father ! LOL ) as he was one step away from buying a Toyota Tundra ( which I fell in love with ! ) ................................ Needless to say we are ALL happy as DS made a sale , DH got his full size truck that is comfortable and I got a truck I hopefully wouldn't fall out of this winter trying to get out of as these running boards are made to stand on not just for decoration !!! LOL

Now if we could just win the lottery to pay for all these TOYS the man in my life keeps buying !!!! YIKES !!!!  Hmmmm , now I want to take the truck on holidays aand leave the Taj at home ..... but guess THAT isn't going to happen ! LOL ! Better make sure I hide the keys while we are away sso the boys don't borrow it !!!!!

A lazy , wet week

No creating in my room this week as DH & I were relaxing in the RV at our " spot " just down the road . DH had another week of holidays to take and as he had 2 meetings he had to attend , we just simply stayed put . Worked well for us as I ended up with the stomach flu for two days ...... felt too lousy to do anything but not lousy enough to just go to bed and stay there ! Unfortunately the weather was rainy and cool for most of the week but the best part of that was our campfire ban got lifted ( and we never did end up having one ! LOL ) . We did go visit DD and her family one day and then again one evening ! Nice that it is only 35 minutes from the campground !

The rain has helped the forest fires in the region and we are fortunate that the smoke has dissipated . I can't imagine the distruction the fires have caused and it is said that some of those fires will not be out until the snow falls . The fury of nature and fire !

We are leaving again on the weekend for another 2 weeks of holidays and this will be a family visiting holiday .  This week as I have birthdays and an anniversary cards to finish that I will hand delivery to family members .

Have a great week and I hope you all find some sun and time to relax before summer is over ! Happy creating !

A Day of Challenges

Not only has the day been filled with smokey air from the forest fires in the area , we just had a rainstorm complete with thunder and lightening go through that has brought more smoke into the area ... but hopefully no new fires from the lightening !

Well being I couldn't sit outside , it was a good day to go play in my room  . This Penny Black image colored with Copic Markers  reminds me of a few days we have had this summer !

This card fits a couple challenges for this week

Drunken Stampers ..... CATS

and

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge # 72....... Buttons and Bows

Happy creating and hope everybody has a great week !

Sunday Sketch & Stamp Challenge

Woo hoo ... a new sketch is up here for Sunday Sketch & Stamp challenge .What a nice and quick sketch to work with ( thanks Claire ! ) and being I was thinking I needed to make a card for a neighbour that just got some horrible health news , I thought this Mo Manning stamped image would  fit the bill ..... it says it all without saying a lot ! This is how I feel about his news ! Maybe I can bring at least a small smile to his face !

Image is colored with Copic markers and I used BG Max and Whisker's paper and my Sakura white Gell Pen ..... very simple but made with a whole lot of good luck !

TFL and happy crafting ! Hug a friend today as they just might need the support of a friend !

Sweet Sketch Wednesday #67

My friend Lisa found this awesome card sketch challenge blog and being I need to get a few cards done over the next couple weeks , I thought it would be the perfect time to join in the fun over on Sweet Sketch Wednesday . This week is a great little sketch found here.....

This is the card that I made this morning ( I am supposed to be packing to head to the RV so I need to get moving out of my room NOW ! LOL )

This is a birthday card for my son who turned 30 yesterday .... but we wouldn't see him for a couple more days so I am safe at being late ! LOL ! This is a image by Lili OF the Valley out of the U.K. ! So my son ! LOL ! He is colored with Copic markers and the patterned paper is from BG Max and Whisker's paper pad ! Buttons from my stash and Martha Stewart butcher thread .

Well TFL and have a great weekend !Now I had best get busy as I only have an hour before DH arrives home ! OOPS !

Thursday, August 12, 2010

One down and a couple more to go !

Another crazy week here with trying to get ready to head back to the RV for the weekend and having some minor little things done around the house ! We had Reno Man come in and redo the trim on our front window ( winter is so hard on paint inside and out in this country ! ) and around the garden door . So nice to get that done and out of the way ! My husband wouldn't hold a paint brush if he can help it .... and can't say I blame him as the only paint brush I like to hold is one that is related to crafting ! LOL !

Well even though the week has been busy , I did manage to get in my room and play for a bit . I have at least 5 cards I need to get done before the end of the month ..... and we have another week of holidays happening before then ! This is a card I made for my sister's birthday on September 1st ! This image just cracked me up as it is so her and I ............. I wouldn't tell you which one I am though ! ( Okay Cheryl , quit laughing as I KNOW you saw the resemblance immediately ! ) . This card will get hand delivered as we will be down at the coast just after to celebrate my Dad's 80th birthday ( earlier then his actual birthday but the best time for us to travel ! )

The image and sentiment are by Mo Manning for Stamping Bella ! Image is colored with a swack of Copic Markers and highlighted with STICKLES for sparkle ! The patterned paper is from BG Capella line , flowers are Prima and Magnolia , a Martha Stewart edge punch and lace from Savvy n' Sassy complete the card !

Well today is my baby's 30th Birthday and I am still trying to get his card together ... tomorrow morning  for sure ! He is away for a few days so I actually have a few days of grace to it done ! Hard to believe he is THAT old ..... wonder if it means he will actually grow up ? ( or do guys EVER ! LOL ) Oh well .... Happy Birthday Jared !

Time to get a pasta salad thrown together for the weekend and that will be one less thing to do tomorrow ! I LOVE that the sun is supposed to shine for the weekend and all of next week but not thrilled that we are looking at another week of 30+ C temperatures . Our forests are going up in flames , the wind is starting to pick up sending the smoke over the area ! So far the fires are not really close here but all it takes is one spark of carelessness to set things off ! Be careful !

It takes one little spark to start a forest fire but why does it take a whole box of matches to start a campfire ?

Well , most of BC has a NO CAMPFIRE ban on right now so fingers crossed some fool  doesn't think he can have one !

Have a fantastic weekend everybody , relaxing , camping , attending weddings or simply just staying home ! Stay cool and TFL !!!

Happy crafting !

Happy Holidays ... summer edition ......

It feels like forever since I got to play in my room and do anything creative but it actually has only been 2 weeks ! LOL ! I made this card for my friend Lisa that is having a birthday in a couple days and we actually stopped to hand deliver it to her on our holidays ! I just love the look on her face .... guess that says it all about Lisa reaching her ( ah-choo ) birthday ! LOL ! Hope it is a FABTABULOUS birthday Lisa ! I know we celebrated at your house not once but twice ! ( We stopped and had a fab visit with Lisa and her husband ( and Brayden ) on our way home too ! )

We had great plans when we left home in the RV to tour as much of the Kootenay's as we could but you know what they say about the best laid plans .... Yes , our's got sidetracked ! Not by sickness or vehicle problems ( for a change ! ) but we absolutely fell in love with Nakusp and area and ended up parking for 2 days at Nakusp Hotsprings and then 3 days down in the town at a campground called Murphy's Landing ! What beautiful country and we are planning another trip that way in the next couple of years... this time we will get some fishing in !

Halcyon Hot Springs

View from Murphy's Landing , Nakusp

Arrow Lake , Nakusp , BC#9 , Murphy's Landing .... guaranteed to be relaxing !

It was an awesome trip but ended far too soon . The weather was perfect with just one day of rain at Nakusp Hotsprings ..... just like a steam bath ! LOL ! All in all , this was one of the best holidays we have EVER been on ! Just what the Dr ordered ! DH came home relaxed ( until he had to start putting out fires at work that is ... dang Blackberry almost ended up in a garbage can ! ) . Fun to stop and see the Grands on the way home and pick up our furbabies that the kids watched for us . Thanks Holly !

Well we have been home a day and tomorrow will be busy as I am getting the RV ready to take back to our " spot " just south of town for a month before we head out on more holidays ! I am going to spend 4 days at the RV while DH works long hours and then he will head to the RV for one night before we head back to town for one week and then take a few days of relaxing time again !

Maybe in September AFTER holidays , I will find time to play ! I can't believe how FAST summer is going this year !

Have a great summer , find time to create , travel safe and RELAX !

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #67

I had an afternoon to sit and play in my room yesterday so I used this sketch from STAMPTACULAR SUNDAY CHALLENGE #67 found here to create this card . This image reminded me of the newest edition to my yard .... a baby robin hatched in a nest in my lilac bush next to my deck yesterday ! Momma Robin has been sitting for days keeping it warm ! Can't get close enough to take a photo though !

The image is  Penny Black and this cute little girl is colored with Copic markers and Atyou Glitter Pens . I just love her " baby fat " on her legs and arms ! LOL ! The flower is a homemade creation using wet patterned paper and Glimmer Mist .... punched with a SU flower punch in 2 sizes . The charm is a Magnolia creation and so cute . I used a new release Cuttlebug brocade embossing folder on the sparkly paper from the Gemstone collection and the patterned paper is from 7 gypsies paper stack  .All other products used on this card are from my stash !

TFL and Happy Creating !

I love these images and as my DD and her DH ave an anniversary coming up soon I thought I would used them on an anniversary card for them .

LOL ) , Ribbon was from Savvy n Sassy ribbon kit , Martha Stewart punches were used  and the rest from my stash .....

Grandkids and cards

I did up a few cards to give my grandkids being they are all finished school until September .... and all will be moving on to the next grade ! When I asked our Grandson Aidan ( he is 3 ) if he graduated high school yet , he promptly told me NO ..... then I asked him if he graduated kindergarten and again he said NO so when I asked him if he graduated play school he just smiled and asked me what was in the bag I was holding ! Boy , does he have this Grandma figured out ! He didn't get a card but he got spoiled rotten with a couple Toy Story movies , some Toy Story ginch and a t-shirt with Toy Story ! Move over Diego , Buzz and Woody are moving in ! LOL !

My grandgirls are all growing up far too fast ! Cory's daughter Courteney goes into Grade 10 this year and will be spending the summer in volleyball camps all over the place ! Holly's girls are going into Grade 9 and Grade 6 ........ and the little man will be going into pre-school :-) Jared's Daughter will be in Grade 3 but she will always be a baby in our minds as we don't have contact with her .......... not our choice for sure but some day she will be of age where she will be able to make her own decisions .

( hmmm , for some reason he doesn't want to stand properly ! Honestly , he isn't sideways all the time ! )
Anyways , here is what I did for the girls for passing . Of course these came with a little monetary fun inside ! Girls love to shop , right ? LOL !

These are all from the SIMPLY BETTY stamp collection , colored with Copics and dazzled with Stickles !

Hope everybody has a wonderful summer , gets some fun time and manages to get some creating in too ! We will be away off and on most of the summer in the RV .... no real set plans yet .... just going to do some wandering on wheels and just go where the road takes us .......... and the money ! LOL !

Over on Drunken Stampers this week's challenge is to add sparkly bling to your card . Well it has been far too long since I got to finish a card for here so with this week's challenge ( read about it here ) I knew I could join in as it is granddaughter #3 's 11th Birthday . I had just got this cute stamp from a new stamp company called Simply Betty and I just had to play !  With a lot of help from my Stickles ( Stardust and Crystal ) I added some sparkly bling to her hair , shoes and flowers plus edged my papers with it ! as usual my image was colored with my Copic markers ( unfortunately another photo not taken of them ! ) . Ribbon is from SavvynSassy ribbon kits , Martha Stewart punch was used and the DP is from my stash .... it too is very glittery !

Have a great week everybody and Happy Crafting !

Important UCLA Study

IMPORTANT UCLA STUDY

A study conducted by UCLA's Department of Psychiatry has revealed that the kind of face a woman finds attractive on a man can differ depending on where she is in her menstrual cycle. For example: if she is ovulating, she is attracted to men with rugged and masculine features. However, if she is menstruating or menopausal, she tends to be more attracted to a man with duct tape over his mouth and a spear lodged in his chest while he is on fire.

No further studies are expected.

Okay , I have to admit I stole this off my friend Lisa's blog ........ I am still wiping the tears off my face and giggling ! Thanks Lisa !!!!!

Mo Manning .... I LOVE you !

I have fallen in love again ......... I am so fickle ! LOL ! The love I am talking about this time is for these cute stamps that Mo Manning designs and has a couple stamp companies ,  Stampavie ( acrylic stamps ) and StampingBella Stamps ( red rubber unmounted stamps  ) produce for her .

Today I actually just sat and relaxed in my room for an hour and came up with this card using the Stampavie acylic  image by Mo Manning called Mummu . I used a Verve` sentiment and a few papers from my stash along with bobble ribbon from SavvynSassy ribbon kits and a couple Peggy's Pretties ! Mummu was colored with Copic markers . I just HAD to give her a red slip ........ Mummu shows just a bit of sass to her ...... I call her fiesty and sexy ! LOL !

Thanks for looking and I hope everybody has a great week and HAPPY CRAFTING !

Stamps , stamps and more stamps

And now I am running out of room to store them ! Well I am NOT going to quit stamping and making cards so I am weeding out my stamps and selling a few off ! A Father's Day card

While trying to decide whether I felt up to actually doing anything today but sleep due to a nasty " bug " I have picked up , my Copics and stamps called to me so thought what better time to get a Father's day card done . I used the sketch from Sunday Sketch and Stamp challenge blog .... click here to see the sketch and the challenge ..... to create this little card . I did take a little creative license with the design by adding a flower !

The darling little stamp is by C.C. Designs and is called Pajama Olivia . She is colored with Copic markers and her sleeper was given a textured look by putting Copic blender liquid on a tea towel piece and dabbing the pink of the sleeper . It gives it a dappled look up close . The patterned paper is from Basic Grey 6X6 pad called Basics Manilla and 6X6 paper pad called Cappella . Ribbon is from SavvynSassy ribbon kit as it the flower . The little charm was from my stash of goodies :-)

Copics used !

Thanks for looking and have a great week ! Happy creating !

Congrats to Matt and Em .... and excuse for some creating

My nephew and his wife had #3 baby last week . Gabrielle Faith is my sister's fourth grandchild and third grandddaughter ...... she is catching up to us as we have 4 granddaughters and 1 grandson and  she now has 3 granddaugthers and one grandson ( She is older then me though.... my kids just started a whole lot sooner on starting their families ! LOL ) .... anyways , I am thrilled for my sister and her family as they are a very close knit family and another baby just means a little more love to go around ! I wouldn't get to meet the newest member of their kingdom until September when we make the trek down the highway for  a visit .

Well I finally managed to get in my crappy room and play a bit but it has taken me almost a week to get 2 cards done ! Still have to do the inside of one of these .....

Well being I figure my sister is going for a kingdom of little Princesses I thought I would color up a Fairytale Tilda as a congratulations card to her and her husband ( and it gave me an excuse to use this cutie ! )

I love this Tim Holtz paper stack too as it was perfect for what I had in mind ! Tilda is colored with Copics and then I used Stickles to make her shine and glitter because all little Princesses need some bling !

I love this little Tilda and she is also colored in Copics with a lot of Stickles to make her sparkle !

Have a great week everybody and I hope that I have made you smile with these cards ! I know that one family is beaming just because of Gabby !
