About Me

My photo
BC, Canada
I have been married to the same guy for a LONG time ! We have 3 grown children and the 5 loves of our lives that they have given us ... 4 girls and one boy ! I have been crafting all my life and found my true addiction when I taught myself to use Copic Markers and introduced them into my card making ! I am NOT certified in the use of Copics but that doesn't stop me from creating with them ! I always been a bit of a crafting rebel and don't follow directions well !I love crafting with my hands and seldom will you find them idle as they usually have a crochet hook , knitting needles or a book in them . Exercise is not my strong suit ! LOL ! My husband and I also love camping in our RV ( weather permitting ... as in NO snow !) so most weekends from Spring to Fall you find us camped somewhere with our 3 Yorkies .... though don't tell them they aren't BIG dogs ! Hope you enjoy my little touch of my life .... the creative and the real life !

Drunken Stampers .... Use Tole on a card

This week over on Drunken Stampers the challenge is to use tole on a card ... at least 3 layers . For those that don't know tole is the layering of your image ( stacking to be precise )  ... can be big areas or little areas . Very cool to do , looks amazing when completed ! The idea was to use a stamp but I actually stamped an image and then used this cool paper from Dream Street Papers Baylee's Garden Collection - Telling Stories and cut the flowers up and used them to stack !

My card ! Magnolia Cherry Dress Tilda  is colored with Copics ( listed below )and sitting amongst the layers of flowers . Side view to show  the layers . I used double sided foam tape to add dimension between the layers If you look down into the layers from the top , you can see that some of the layers are thicker then others . I was only able to use 3 layers on most of the flowers but one pedal and I did get 4 for it . Unfortunately , I ran out of flowers ! LOL ! I used diamond glaze on one of the flowers to give it a shine and it actually feels like glass-like when dried .

By the way , being it is my birthday on Sunday my dear husband is taking me away to see friends for the weekend ....... and I get to meet and stamp with Peggy from Drunken Stampers on Saturday as my friend Lisa is dragging me with her to Peggy's ! What a great birthday present !!!!

Happy creating everybody and I hope you week will be filled with sunshine and smiles !
