About Me

My photo
BC, Canada
I have been married to the same guy for a LONG time ! We have 3 grown children and the 5 loves of our lives that they have given us ... 4 girls and one boy ! I have been crafting all my life and found my true addiction when I taught myself to use Copic Markers and introduced them into my card making ! I am NOT certified in the use of Copics but that doesn't stop me from creating with them ! I always been a bit of a crafting rebel and don't follow directions well !I love crafting with my hands and seldom will you find them idle as they usually have a crochet hook , knitting needles or a book in them . Exercise is not my strong suit ! LOL ! My husband and I also love camping in our RV ( weather permitting ... as in NO snow !) so most weekends from Spring to Fall you find us camped somewhere with our 3 Yorkies .... though don't tell them they aren't BIG dogs ! Hope you enjoy my little touch of my life .... the creative and the real life !

A Day of Challenges

Not only has the day been filled with smokey air from the forest fires in the area , we just had a rainstorm complete with thunder and lightening go through that has brought more smoke into the area ... but hopefully no new fires from the lightening !

Well being I couldn't sit outside , it was a good day to go play in my room  . This Penny Black image colored with Copic Markers  reminds me of a few days we have had this summer !

This card fits a couple challenges for this week

Drunken Stampers ..... CATS

and

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge # 72....... Buttons and Bows

Happy creating and hope everybody has a great week !

  1. Ouuu!!! I totally want to BE this cat in a hammock with a cocktail!

You card has great colors and combination of elements, just beautiful!

Sorry to hear about the fires ... I'm a Northern Nevadan, so while we don't have any active mega fires at the moment, I certainly know what you're going though ... aheh, aheh, aheh (coughing from the smoke).

Thanks for dropping in at the Drunken Stampers craft pub (and we miss seeing you there every week). :)

  3. Love this card!! I'm just visiting mom's in Williams Lake here and yikes!!! My cousin got evacuated earlier today from the north side of WL cuz they were expecting some winds. If they got enough they are worried about the fire jumping over at Meldrum Creek. Half of WL is on fire alert and ready for evactuation. OMG and to think I just moved!! Yikes!

  6. Donna, it's great to see you! Your sweet, relaxed kitty looks so happy (actually, substitute a sofa for the hammock and leave off the cocktail and you pretty much have a photo of my own cats). I love this design!

I hope the air clears up for you soon, and that you continue to have a great summer in the GREAT outdoors!
