About Me

My photo
BC, Canada
I have been married to the same guy for a LONG time ! We have 3 grown children and the 5 loves of our lives that they have given us ... 4 girls and one boy ! I have been crafting all my life and found my true addiction when I taught myself to use Copic Markers and introduced them into my card making ! I am NOT certified in the use of Copics but that doesn't stop me from creating with them ! I always been a bit of a crafting rebel and don't follow directions well !I love crafting with my hands and seldom will you find them idle as they usually have a crochet hook , knitting needles or a book in them . Exercise is not my strong suit ! LOL ! My husband and I also love camping in our RV ( weather permitting ... as in NO snow !) so most weekends from Spring to Fall you find us camped somewhere with our 3 Yorkies .... though don't tell them they aren't BIG dogs ! Hope you enjoy my little touch of my life .... the creative and the real life !

Stamp Shoppe - Week 2 shaped card challenge

Another fun week of crafting and playing with my Magnolias from Heidi at Stamp Shoppe ! This week Irma issued the challenge on their blog to create a shaped card .... not the regular shape of square or rectangular . You can read all about the challenge here !

Well I am shaped challenged ( in more ways then one it seems ! ) but I gave this card a valiant try after all , I am game if it means winning the prize at the end of the 4th week 15% off at the Stamp Shoppe and a surprise !  So I just want everybody to know , I am totally not an artist ........ I can not draw a straight line if my life depended on it so I thought well I could draw a cloud with no problem  being there are no straight lines to a cloud ................... BAWHAAAAAA !!!!  Just thought I would tell you what that shape was before showing you the finished product ! LOL ! So here it is ...................................

I actually hand-cut four " clouds "  one out of cardstock to make my card base then 3 out of vellum which I ran the largest through my Cuttlebug with a spirals embossing folder . All vellum was then edged with Stickles to make the " cloud " glitter and give the card some dimension . The small clouds were then mounted on foam to raise them over the large cloud and Dreamy Tilda was then mounted on one of the small clouds . All edges of clouds were lightly rubbed with ink to give the cloud edges some definition .

So that is my take on a shaped card ................................

Thanks for looking !

Come join in the fun and Happy creating !

LOL! Donna, you are too funny!! I would have known it was a cloud even if you hadn't said so. Great job and I think you did an awesome job on the shape challenge.

  2. I think your cloud card is awesome, and the little one that Tilda is relaxing on too. The embossing and stickles are a nice touch :)
